Job description:

Founded in 1896, Loyola High School is Montreal’s only Jesuit, Catholic high school. Loyola is looking to add a dynamic and strategic Annual Giving and Stewardship Officer to our team. The Annual Giving Officer will contribute to the overall objectives of Loyola High School with a particular focus on donor engagement, annual giving, and the implementation of stewardship programs. The Annual Giving and Stewardship Officer will also provide support for all Advancement events and Capital Campaign initiatives.


  • Manage Annual Giving prospects’ relationships and ensure appropriate cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Work with the Advancement, Admissions and Communications teams to ensure coordinated execution of meaningful and appropriate Annual Giving and Stewardship strategies.
  • Participate in the creation of annual goals and objectives for class and reunion fundraising programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team on solicitation materials, including direct mail, email, video, and social media communications.
  • Implement a systemized stewardship strategy that demonstrates the impact of donor generosity
  • Contribute to the production of an annual donor report
  • Manage and execute timely gift and donor recognition programs
  • Support Capital Campaign events and other initiatives


  • Familiarity with the Jesuit, Catholic tradition; primarily in an educational context is a strong asset
  • Interest and understanding of fundraising
  • Experience in a non-profit fundraising environment
  • Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge an asset
  • Knowledge of Annual giving campaigns and soliciting donors an asset
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, Publisher, etc.)
  • Exceptional communications skills (verbal and written) in both English and French
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills


$65,000 to $75,000 based on experience
