Job description:

Under the supervision of the Director of Philanthropy, and in close collaboration with her, the incumbent is responsible for establishing and developing relationships with donors, prospects, and professionals in the field with a view to increasing major and planned gifts that contribute to the sustainability of the organization. The incumbent is responsible for Moisson Montréal’s planned giving program and would devote approximately 40% of her/his time to it.

Main responsibilities:

  • Annual solicitation and retention of assigned monetary donors;
  • Research and solicit new donors (mainly among individuals and foundations) with the capacity to make annual gifts of at least $5,000;
  • Lead the development of new initiatives for the planned giving program (and related policies and KPIs) and ensure the optimization and growth of current initiatives;
  • Promote the cause of Moisson Montréal (while representing the organization at relevant occasions and events) and raise awareness of the endowment fund and other planned giving vehicles;
  • In collaboration with the communications team, lead the development of communication tools to promote the planned giving program on Moisson Montréal’s digital channels and to professionals in the field.

Requirements:

  • University degree in law, taxation, or other field relevant to the position;
  • Five years of professional experience in planned giving;
  • Results-oriented approach, initiative, and proven ability to build successful and effective relationships;
  • Leadership ;
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail;
  • Tact, listening skills, ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Fluently bilingual (French and English);
  • Management experience (an asset).
