AFP strives to stimulate a generous and caring world through best practices in fundraising.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) represents over 26,000 members in more than 240 chapters around the world. AFP brings together some 3,000 members in 20 chapters across Canada, including more than 470 members in the Quebec Chapter.
AFP works to promote philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs. AFP also promotes professional development, the growth of fundraising professionals and the promotion of high ethical standards for the profession.

AFP Canada
Officially created in 2017, AFP Canada represents more than 3,000 members and 20 chapters in Canada. Located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, AFP Canada’s head office has several missions:
- Government relations
- Chapter services

- Recruitment of new members
The office also supports the operations of the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada and the AFP Canadian Council.
AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada
AFP’s philanthropic arm, the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada, supports several programs and services through fundraising. It contributes to philanthropy by funding programs and services in research, diversity and inclusion and by supporting professional development and leadership.
