This one-hour interactive workshop, specially designed for people working in the philanthropic sector, will provide you with a deeper understanding of the principles of inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility, as well as concrete suggestions on how to take action.
We’ll cover the concepts of cognitive bias and microaggressions, examine their impact on our organizations and, above all, learn how to manage them to create healthier, more inclusive working environments, both internally and with our external stakeholders.

Speaker:
Julie Carignan is an organizational psychologist, CPHR and partner at Humance. Passionate about optimizing human potential in the workplace, she has been supporting organizations in reaching new heights in healthy performance for more than 25 years. She serves as a strategic partner for several provincial, national and international organizations, and is involved in various mandates related, in particular, to leader and team development and the creation of healthy and inclusive work environments. From a young age, she was involved in the pursuit of inclusion and diversity, especially through direct volunteer involvement with people of all ages with disabilities. In university, she focused her scientific contribution on the impact of cognitive bias in organizational decisions and on the challenges specific to women’s leadership. She has been involved in philanthropy her entire career, notably as Chair of the Board of Femmessor Montérégie and the Fondation de l’Autisme. Considered a leader in her field, she is regularly invited to speak at public and private events and is called on as an expert by several media outlets, including La Presse, Radio-Canada, 98.5 and the magazine Gestion.
