As part of this second webinar dedicated to governance, Mr. Bernard Blackburn and Ms. Sharon G. Druker will return to further explore the topic of fundraising campaign cabinets. This session will examine their role and structure, highlight key ethical risks that may arise, and provide a clearer understanding of the mechanisms for collaboration and accountability between campaign cabinets and the board of directors. Participants will leave with practical insights to help strengthen good governance practices in the context of fundraising campaigns.

Sharon G. Druker, K.C., distinguished lawyer and senior partner in business law at Robinson Sheppard Shapiro LLP.
Deeply involved in both the legal and philanthropic communities, Ms. Druker is Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Quebec Bar Foundation and sits on the boards of Hope & Cope and Congregation Shaare Zedek. She also chairs their governance committees and serves as Vice-Chair of the Governance Committee of the Jewish General Hospital Foundation and Chair of the Governance Committee of the Lord Reading Law Society.

Bernard Blackburn, MBA, C.M.C., C.Dir., President of GUBERNA Services Conseils
Mr. Blackburn is a recognized expert in governance, ethics, and strategy. With over 30 years of experience, he supports boards of directors in improving their governance and ethical practices. He currently chairs Option consommateurs and the Ethics and Professional Conduct Inquiry Committee of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec. An experienced trainer, he has taught governance at the University of Sherbrooke and chaired the Organizational Ethics Network of Quebec. A graduate of HEC Montréal and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés, he is known for his rigor, human approach, and commitment to responsible and sustainable governance.
