The board of directors of the Montreal SPCA is pleased to announce the appointment of Sylvie Bourbonnière as executive director.
A leader in Quebec’s philanthropic sector, Ms. Bourbonnière led the Chaînon Foundation from 2019 to 2025, a flagship organization that supports women experiencing vulnerable situations. In this role, she oversaw many transformative initiatives and played a key role in strengthening and expanding the organization’s mission.
“Throughout my professional journey, I have been guided by a desire to support those most in need. Animals have always been close to my heart, both personally and professionally. I am the proud ‘pet parent’ of two shelter dogs, so joining the province’s largest animal welfare organization feels both deeply meaningful and incredibly exciting.”
