Celine Cooper, President of the Board of Governors, is pleased to welcome David Andrelli as Interim Executive Director of the Fraser-Hickson Institute. David will serve from February 28, 2022, until March 2023 while Executive Director Asha Dixit is on maternity leave.
Mr. Andrelli brings over a decade of management, information technology and human resources experience with Apple, along with teaching and coaching experience at the secondary school level in Montreal. He holds a B.A. in Joint Specialization in English and History from Concordia University. As a dedicated volunteer with our flagship minibiblioPLUS project since 2018, the Board was impressed by Mr. Andrelli’s enthusiasm for early childhood literacy and community development and looks forward to his leadership in this role.
About the Fraser-Hickson Institute
The Fraser-Hickson Institute was founded in 1885 as the first privately funded, free public library with a mission to promote literacy and facilitate access to books. Today, through our minibiblioPLUS project, we remain faithful to our mission of raising literacy levels and instilling in children a life-long love of reading and learning by providing free access to books and animation services, with an emphasis on encouraging parents and caregivers to read to children during their first 1000 days of life.
